Working with Staff and Colleagues
1. I believe that adults have a lot to share. Although they may want to learn something new, what they already know can add to learning, for themselves as well as the group. They need to be respected as individuals with knowledge to share.
2. Everyone learns differently. Several options for taking in new information are needed so that every learning style may acquire the most information.
3. It is important to provide an atmosphere that is conducive to learning. That atmosphere includes the space, attitude of the instructor, an element of fun, opportunities that challenge yet inspire, and opportunities to move.
