| PROGRAM DIRECTOR, Burlington Children’s Space, Burlington, VT January 2022 – Present • Oversee compliance with Vermont State Licensing Standards, STARS rating system, and NAEYC accreditation standards and processes as they relate to classroom observations and parent involvement • Represents BCS in partnership agreements such as ACT 166 Universal Pre-K, and the Howard Center • Collaborate partnership with UVM Education Department (overseeing student teachers and BCS Mentor Teachers) • Maintaining collaboration with Head Start as per annual agreement - Attending Monthly Collaborative Meetings, Home Visiting, Updating CP and Checking in with HS personnel to ensure our ‘to do’ list is completed • Support and coordinate with teachers to provide information regarding child development, developmental stages and community resources to families as needed, this includes convening teams of service providers and associated case management • Scheduling services with providers and ensuring all services are occurring for children - reaching out to families and service providers when necessary • Recruit and complete the hiring process for new Burlington Children’s Space staff members • Schedule staff to ensure classroom coverage meets compliance with required child-to-staff ratios, staff training requirements, and partner agreements • Actively participate in efforts to increase workforce development and create opportunities for staff in the ECE field • Encourage staff to develop leadership skills by participating in community events and relevant committees • Complete annual evaluation of each teaching staff member to include self-evaluations, documentation of classroom observations and feedback, completion of professional development • Oversee staff members’ Individual Professional Development Plans (IPDPs) and ensure staff documentation of qualifications and training are up to date in BFIS • Give feedback based on observations of classrooms during team and individual meetings • ** Job Description Available upon request ** FULL RESUME AVAILABLE IF NEEDED | ||||||||||
