I am a trained teacher of the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing, fluent in ASL and able to instruct in ASL.
1. Adults want to learn and be better versions of themselves, but they all learn differently. Before beginning any training, it is essential to connect with the group to gauge how to tailor the instruction.
2. Connection is the key to all learning. When participants feel connected to an instructor they feel safe to explore new ideas and mindset shifts.
3. Learning through screens is hard, but a part of our everyday learning model. I believe that it's my job to make learning fun and hands on, whether we are in person or online.
