Work Experience
My current title is Education Programs Coordinator at ECHO Leahy Center for Lake Champlain, Burlington VT (2022-present). In this role, I coordinate ECHO's summer camp program, as well as school outreach and onsite programming related to STEM education. I have also supported teacher professional development including trainings on STEM instruction/integration. Previously, I worked as a co-teacher at Heartworks Preschool in a 2-3 year old classroom at their Essex, VT location (2019-2021). I served as an Education Fellow at Shelburne Farms (2018) upon graduating from UVM. During my undergraduate years, I worked as a summer camp educator at North Branch Nature Center, a mentor for JJ Flynn Elementary's nature club, and a volunteer with the Burlington Boys and Girls Club. | ||||||||||

1) Hands-on activities are both engaging for educators and an effective modeling tool. 2) Anecdotally connecting with educators; I have so much to learn from their professional and personal expereince! 3) Naming the value of resiliency (in STEM and in life) and facilitating an iterative style of work where failure is okay and persistence is praised. |
