1. I believe all adults are capable, competent learners who bring a wealth of knowledge to their learning process and the learning process of those they are working alongside. As the instructor, I seek out that knowledge by offering various ways to explore and learn about different topics or subjects.

2. When working with adults, it is important to engage and have back-and-forth interactions, discussions, and debates that deepen knowledge. Understanding the whys in learning is critical to learning new information and gaining a more comprehensive understanding of the topic.

3. Adults need a variety of ways to explore and share their learning and knowledge. I believe in providing adult learners with opportunities for work groups, projects, written expression, tests, and creative ways to share learning together or explore topics and concepts. Often, I will start
a training by asking participants how they learn and what teaching model works best and try to incorporate that in my teaching practices.
