EHS Child Care Partnership Care Manager
• Oversee all aspects of EHS-CCP grant including:
o Providing coaching, mentoring and support to EHS-CC partner staff and their directors. Working with partnering child cares to improve quality
o Overseeing child development activities and outcomes with EHS-CC enrolled children
o Providing or arranging training for partnering staff in alignment with IPDPS, Head Start requirements, or areas identified in annual TPITOS assessment as needing support.
o Monitor and analyze data and outcomes for children and families
o Recruiting child care providers and children to be apart of the EHS-CC program and maintain full enrollment.
o Implement and monitor Head Start Performance Standards at partnering child cares.
o Oversee EHS-CC staff to ensure children, families and child cares are receiving the support and services provided in the program.
2013-2016 Puffer Child Care Center Morrisville, VT
Director
• Obtained $25,000 grant from the Henderson Foundation to install a kitchen, allowing Puffer to participate in CACFP.
• In the initial stages of offering Early Head Start programing to qualifying children at Puffer, working in partnership with Capstone Community Action.
• Secured $30,000 emergency grant form State of Vermont to stabilize Puffer’s precarious financial position.
• Responsible for the daily operation and administration of Puffer Child Care Center in accordance the State of Vermont Licensing regulations, providing developmentally appropriate curriculum to 35 children 6 weeks through 5 years of age.
• Provide oversight, coaching and support to teaching staff.
• Ensure effective system of communication between staff, parents, board members, and the community.
• Work collaboratively with community support personnel.
• Maintain financial records of the center’s $400,000 budget: including purchasing materials, invoicing parents, collecting tuition, and processing payroll.

• Planned and implemented program for children 6 months to 3 years (the age was revised from the original 6 weeks to 6 years in 2004) for up to 35 children.
• Established procedures and policies in compliance with state licensing regulations to provide a safe, healthy and nurturing environment.
• Purchased toys and supplies to provide a stimulating environment that will engage children in active and creative play.
• Provided daily hot nutritious lunches and snacks.
• Hired, trained, scheduled, supervised, evaluated and terminated seasonal staff.
• Interfaced with customers: taking reservations, answering questions and resolving problems.
• Created a computerized reservation system in Access to record and track reservations and customer information. System later replaced by resort wide RTP system.
• Supervised daily check-in, registration and payment for the children enrolled.
• Responsible for the accurate accounting of each day’s receipts and for maintaining a yearly budget.
(Left this position in 2006 because husband’s job took him out of state, returned to the job in 2011 when the position reopened and family situation stabilized)
