2015 - 2018 - Owner Director of Hammondsport Childrens Center

2014 – 2015 Training and TA Manager at the National Center on Early Head Start Child Care Partnerships at ZERO TO THREE – Washington DC

Worked with other National Centers and Training and TA providers to support the Office of Head Start and the Office of Child Care in implementation of the new EHS-CC Partnership grantees. Developed materials, conducted training and designed other instructional methods that support various adult learning styles. Facilitated webinars and virtual learning communities using distance technology.

2002 – 2014 Infant/Toddler Coordinator at the Early Care & Learning Council in Albany NY.

Developed and managed the statewide network of Infant Toddler Specialists who worked out of the Child Care Resource and Referral agencies. Our role was to improve the quality of infant and toddler care in all types of early care and education programs across New York State. The network created a clearinghouse for information on best practices; conducted training and on site coaching; and convened statewide forums, learning communities and conferences.

1999 – 2002 Infant/Family Specialist at the NYU-Corning Head Start Quality Improvement Center located at Corning Community College in Corning NY.

Worked as a member of the Quality Improvement Center team to support and enhance the quality of services at Head Start and Early Head Start programs throughout federal Region II (NY, NJ, PR and Vir Is.). The consultation and training process included program assessment, strategic and operational planning, implementation of training and technical assistance, evaluation and follow up.


1985 - 1999 Director of Steuben Child Care Project, the Child Care Resource and Referral agency for Steuben County NY.

Wrote grant applications and managed multiple contracts from a variety of federal, state, county sources and private foundations. Supervised staff who developed new child care programs; provided counseling and referrals to parents looking for child care; maintained a county wide data base of all forms of child care; provided training and technical assistance to caregivers; and administered subsidies for child care. Worked with the business community to advocate for family supports and employer sponsored child care services. Promoted children, families and the program via public relations activity and community presentations.
