Work Experience
| Director/Preschool Teacher, Poker Hill School, Underhill, VT--August 2017-present The unique program at Poker Hill School required that I develop curricula for both large and small groups, including process-based activities as well as long-term emergent themes. Through play-based activities, I work with three- to five-year-olds to build school readiness skills with a particular focus on social-emotional development. Responsibilities also include preparing progress reports, conducting parent-teacher conferences, and collaborating with staff to develop seasonally theme-based curricula. In 2021 I became co-director of the preschool and in 2023 I became Director of Educational Programming. I now take on all areas of administrative duties. Work Experience: Teacher, Poker Hill School, Underhill VT-September 2017-June 2023 As a head teacher, I was responsible for developing curricula, communicating with families, writing progress reports and completing state-mandated assessments. I worked with other teachers to develop emergent curricula and build engaging activities for both small and large groups.
